There be 句型基础
There be vs have

常见错误
学校不”拥有”教师，教师只是在学校工作。
- ❌ This school has many teachers.
- ✅ There is a school with many teachers.
There be 是完整句子
There be + 名词 本身就是完整句子，不能用逗号直接拼另一句。

however 不能连接两句话
however是副词不是连词，不能像but那样连接两个分句。要用 however 必须拆成两句或加分号：
- There is a book**;** however, I like it.
There be 后接定语的六种形式
There be + 定语 + 名词 + 定语，定语可前置可后置。

同位语从句 vs 定语从句
- 同位语从句：解释名词内容，
that不充当成分。如 There is an idea that I can play soccer.（idea 的内容就是踢球）- 定语从句：修饰名词特征，
that充当主语/宾语。如 There is a book that is useful.（that 作从句主语）
There be 的变形
时态变化：
- There was a book…（过去）
- There will be a book…（将来）
- There is going to be a better book.
系动词替换（be 可换其他系动词）：
- There becomes a better book.
- There remains a problem.
- There seems to be…
here be：与 there be 语义相同，仅方位不同。

结构：

考研例句

改写思路

3. 背景句：…are bound to arise
结构：
With so many ..., many problems are bound to arise.be bound to= 必然发生（= must happen / will definitely occur）
外刊原句
With so many people crammed into a closed mountain valley, many environmental and social problems are bound to arise.
考研例句
With so many parents knowing nothing about their child’s pressure in study, many physical and mental problems are bound to arise.
4. 总起句：For anyone who may doubt…
结构：
For anyone who may doubt ..., ... provides strong evidence that ...外刊原句
In the meantime, for anyone who may doubt humanity’s ability to affect the weather, Dr Thornton’s work provides strong evidence that it can.
考研例句
For anyone who may doubt the advantages of listening to lectures about other majors, the following reasons would provide strong evidence.
举一反三

5. 背景+观点：Among the facts is that…
结构：
Among the facts that have emerged about ... is that + 完整句子- 倒装结构：正常语序 That … is among the facts.
外刊原句
Among the facts that have emerged about it is that individual birds do, indeed, have distinct personalities.
考研例句
Environment protection is a well-studied subject, and among the facts that have emerged about it is that there are still a host of people who have no idea about the urgency of the situation.
举一反三

结构：

7. 观点句：The very fact comes at…
结构：
The very fact of A comes at a bad/good time when ...the very fact中的very是形容词，“恰恰、正是”的意思，表强调
外刊原句
But the very fact of the lawsuit comes at a bad time for Uber, which is under fire for having a rough-and-tumble culture that values winning at all costs.
考研例句
The very fact that students would take great advantages from AI comes at a good time when the advanced technologies nowadays could provide convenient access for them to acquire all sorts of knowledge.
8. 背景+总起：…bright spots…
结构：
A and B have contributed to the problems. But there are some bright spots ...bright spots= 亮点、积极面

结构：

10. 措施：…doing it right should trump…
结构：
As ..., doing it right should trump doing it fast.trump（动词）= 胜过、超越

改写思路

11. 观点句：The fact that… speaks to…
结构：
The fact that + 句子 + speaks to the importance of ...speak to= 说明、表明（不是”对…说话”）
外刊原句
The fact that we have had this debate before speaks its importance.
考研例句
The fact that nowadays more and more foreigners are intrigued to our traditional culture speaks to the importance of cultural communication.
12. 让步+观点：Although … may suggest otherwise
结构：
Although some recent experiences may suggest otherwise, + 完整句子otherwise= 另一面、相反的情况（这里指”相反的迹象”）
外刊原句
Although some recent experiences may suggest otherwise, fishers and scientists need each other in order to succeed.
考研例句
Although some recent experiences may suggest otherwise, universities should provide enough support to improve students’ physical conditions.
